Roncesvalles — known locally as Ronces — sits just west of Trinity Bellwoods and carries much of the same west end character at a calmer register. The main strip is lined with independent bakeries, butchers, and cafés embedded in the community.
High Park, one of Toronto's largest green spaces, is a short walk south — genuinely useful for a family whose weekends are already tight. Young professional families are the primary demographic here, drawn by the schools and the ability to actually know their neighbours.
